Honda Equals Quality

Honda continues to equal quality in the mind of consumers.

The manufacturer again finished first in “The Perceived Quality Study,” conducted by ALG, the TrueCar Inc. subsidiary that sets residual values for the auto industry.

Honda also scored No. 1 in 2010, the last time a consumer survey was conducted. Subaru finished third in the study.

Ford and Hyundai though also impressed those who completed the study. It was reported that the two brands have improved the most since the inaugural study completed in 2008.

“Consumers recognize the product improvements made by Ford and Hyundai,” Eric Lyman, ALG’s vice president of residual value solutions, said in a statement. “Honda…still widely recognized as being the quality leaders, but as more consumers increasingly consider brands like Subaru, Ford and Hyundai, that perception gap erodes.”
