Nissan’s 2012 models have higher quality than the industry averages.
That’s according to J.D. Power and Associates, who released its annual Initial Quality Study on Tuesday.
Nissan is among the top non-luxury brands, and you dig deeper, you’ll find that the 2012 Nissan Frontier and 2012 Nissan Quest are the best vehicles in their class, while the 2012 Nissan Titan and 2012 Nissan Murano are among the top three vehicles in their respective class.
- The Frontier was voted best Midsized Pickup.
- The Quest was voted the best Minivan.
- Not too far behind was the Nissan Titan, which finished tied for third in the race for best Large Pickups.
- The Nissan Murano also finished third for the best Midsized Crossover/SUV.
As a brand, Nissan’s quality exceeds the industry averages. It finished in the top 15 of all manufacturer, but when you only include “non-luxury” models, Nissan was fifth overall.
As a brand, Nissan was able to improve its score 18 points over 2011’s study.
It’s easy to see why Nissan is taking home so much hardware in 2012. Congrats the entire Nissan team!
