Many of the top models are in the running for the North American Car of the Year.
Finalists were announced recently, with vehicles from Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan and Subaru making this prestigious list. 45 vehicles in all will compete for the ultimate prize, 2013 North American Car of the Year.
The Ford Fusion, all-electric Ford Fusion were nominated for “North American Car of the Year,” while the Ford C-Max was nominated for the Truck/Utility Vehicle of the Year.”
The ever-popular Honda Accord is in the running for 2013 North American Car of the Year.
The 2012 Hyundai Elantra was the winner last year, and the Hyundai has many in the running this year:
The Hyundai Azera, Hyundai Elantra GT are in the car category, and the Hyundai Santa Fe is in the running for Truck/Utility Vehicle.
Three Nissan models made the list. The Nissan Altima, which is turning heads with its redesign, and the Nissan Sentra will compete for car of the year. The Nissan Pathfinder is on the list. New photos of the 2013 Pathfinder recently hit the net.
A panel of 50 jurors will knock the list down to around 12 in the fall, and the winners will be announced at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2013.
