Oh, to be in Texas.
Ford will be revealing one of their updated 2013 F-150s at this year’s Texas State Fair. Texas being the location of the actual King’s Ranch, it’s more than an appropriate place.
The new 2013 Ford F-150 King Ranch will be getting a few new additions. This includes a new 3-bar grille instead of the 2-bar grille. It gets optional HID headlights with hill-descent control, power-folding and telescoping trailer mirrors, and available MyFord Touch. Also, machined aluminum 20-inch wheels, optional monotone paint, a chrome package, and new all-black interior, and Chaparral leather.
But enough about the aesthetics, let’s get down to what makes this beast move. Under the hood of the King Ranch will be a 5.0-liter V-8 or a 3.5-liter Ecoboost V-6. And just as a side note that would be the same 5.0-liter V-8 found in the Mustang GT, obviously modified to handle the King Ranch. EPA is saying it will run 15-mpg in the city and 21-mpg on the highway.
Here at the Waikem Auto Family we always get excited when Ford starts talking trucks. And the Ford F-150 King Ranch brings the best of Texas to the rest of the world. With the new F-150s coming we cannot be more excited to climb up in these new trucks and see what they can haul.
