Review: 2013 Nissan Sentra Redesigned and Improved

The 2013 Nissan Sentra is a redesigned model that looks nothing like previous models. With new design cues, better fuel economy and great features, you’ll love this redesign.

The Sentra was completely redesigned throughout. It looks like the little brother of the 2013 Altima. The 2013 Sentra features a lower, more aero-friendly body. You’ll get thinner LED headlights and wider fenders, so the Sentra appearance is really a mash up of luxury and style. Overall, we find the newer model to be more stylish than previous models.

Inside, Nissan updated the Sentra interior to give it a more modern look. Nissan used premium materials to create even more comfortable seats. On the dash, the Sentra follows the new Altima and Pathfinder with driver focused tech. Without diverting your eyes, you can see audio information, temperature control and other vehicle diagnostics.

Overall, you make your Sentra seem like a high end luxury model thanks to woodgrain trim, leather seats and push button intelligent key.

It doesn’t look like it on the outside, but the Sentra has a lot of cargo space. Nissan says with the rear seats folded, you can fit a bicycle or even an 8-foot ladder inside your Sentra!

There’s no feature you cannot find in the new Sentra. On the available center console, you can get Pandora, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, iPod playing capabilities, navigation, backup camera and Bluetooth Streaming Audio.

The new Sentra also comes with available push button ignition, auto on headlights, Bose premium audio and hands-free communication. If you’re low on tire pressure, the horn will beep when the tires have reached optimal pressure.

Beyond style and tech, the Sentra will keep you away from the pump. With the Xtronic CVT, you can get up 34 MPG. The new Sentra also features an Eco Pedal Indicator. The Sentra will tell you when you are driving efficiently and help smooth things out if it thinks you’re driving inefficiently.

You can get the Sentra in 8 exterior colors and 8 available interior colors and material.

Overall, we think the new Sentra is a huge upgrade over previous

models. Nissan gets high grades for making the Sentra more stylish, improving the interior, beefing up the features and also making the Sentra a more fuel efficient vehicle!

What others are saying about the 2013 Nissan Sentra:

The Sentra’s interior is a nice place to spend some time. The materials are top-notch for the class, and the design, like the exterior, is clean, if inoffensive.

Thanks to improved fuel economy, a welcoming cabin and enhanced infotainment features, the 2013 Nissan Sentra becomes a much more desirable choice in the small sedan class.

Pros: Upscale and spacious interior; high fuel economy; generous trunk space; useful electronic features.

With the Sentra’s very frugal fuel econ noted, it’s hard to say that any compact car in the market today offers more bang for your buck than this Sentra.
