The new 2013 Ford Focus has been given a 5-star overall vehicle score in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) New Car Assessment Program.

Steve Kenner, global director of the Automotive Safety Office, has this to say of the 2013 Ford Focus:

“The new Focus is another example of Ford’s commitment to safety and NHTSA’s NCAP program has recognized this fact… The Focus is built with technologies from bumper to bumper to help reduce occupant injury risk when a crash is unavoidable”

The Ford Focus has many safety and driver assist technologies that aided in the 5-star rating including: AdvanceTrac, FordSYNC, MyKey, Active Park Assist’s ultrasonic-based sensing system, and Safety Canopy curtain airbags.

The 2013 Ford Focus has been noted as being one of the best cars for small families, and in the past the Focus was recognized by Consumer Reports as being a top model for teens. And with a 5-star safety rating, the Waikem Auto Family can see the 2013 Ford Focus is continuing that impressive streak.
