With Hyundai improving the design of their cars year after year the focus may be turning to ride and handling quality.
Hyundai will be building a test facility, a $7.3 million investment, nearby the famous German track, the Nürburgring.
The German track is a popular place for car manufacturers to take their Research and Development teams due to the variety of surfaces the track offers. From long straightaways to tight embankments, the Nürburgring will be the perfect place for Hyundai to improve on their already impressive line up. The ‘Ring is one of the most challenging racing circuits in the world. If Hyundai can put together a car using the ‘Ring it can only mean good news for the rest of us.
Allan Rushforth, Senior Vice President and COO of Hyundai Motor Europe says:
“The new Hyundai test centre at Nürburgring is an expression of our intention to focus on improving the customer experience of our vehicles, such as ride and handling… The new centre represents a significant investment, and one we expect will significantly contribute to enhancing the perception of the Hyundai brand and our key competitive competence…”
Hyundai has proven their ability to design a beautiful and stylish car. Now
we look forward to the vast improvements the Nürburgring is likely to provide to the dynamics of their future lineup.
