Waikem Employees Help Raise Money For Cystic Fibrosis

The Waikem Auto Family proved to be a true family Thursday by raising money again for a fellow employee.

The Waikem Auto Family held a group lunch for Adam Longwell, an employee in Waikem Motor’s part department. Adam’s daughter Kendall has Cystic Fibrosis. Employees donated money and covered dishes to help raise money for the 13th Annual Canton Great Strides Walk-A-Thon, taking place Saturday, May 4 at Canton McKinley High School.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a devastating genetic disease that affects tens of thousands of children and young adults in the United States. Research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is making a huge difference in extending the quality of life for those with CF.

Adam thanks everyone who helped out with with the event. Last year, Kendall’s Krew raised more than $10,000.
