It’s almost family road trip season, and everyone in the family wants to look cool as they travel down the road. If your family is ready to upgrade and become the coolest family in the neighborhood, www.thestreet.com says the Ford Flex and Ford Escape are among the coolest family vehicles.
The Flex might be the overall coolest vehicle on the road. It has all the practicality of the van, but it looks like a modern wagon with a style not seen in any other vehicle on the road. The Flex easily fits seven passengers, and second row passengers get 44 inches of legroom. But even the tallest passengers will easily get into the third row comfortably.
But The Street puts the Flex at the top thanks to the model: “Options such as sliding second-row captain’s seats, Microsoft Sync phone, entertainment and navigation systems in its MyFord Touchscreen, DVD entertainment center for the back, a multipanel sunroof and second-row fridge console for road sodas compensate somewhat for its roughly 22 combined miles per gallon.”
The Escape was redesigned in the 2013, with all new styling and incredible fuel economy for an SUV. Getting up to 30 MPG on the highway makes it among the most fuel efficient SUVs on the road. The Street gives the Escape a high grade for space as well. You’ll get 34 cubic feet of space with the seats up, 68 cu. feet with the seats down. Add in the MyFord Touch entertainment and communication, and you’ll entire family will have fun behind the wheel.
George Waikem Ford in Massillon, Ohio, has a great selection of these two SUVs, and we invite the entire family in to see how cool they’ll look behind the wheel.
