Let’s face it, the minivan faces a stigma as an uncool vehicle. Every member of family wishes they were in a two door coupe sports car during the daily commute, but your family needs more than that. So how do you look cool and still have room for everyone to fit inside?
The Kia Soul may be in fact the coolest vehicle on the road today, family or no family. The Soul features room for four or five to fit comfortably. As The Street says “(the Kia Soul) turned out to be more practical than its youthful exterior implies.”
The Street says the Soul also made the list thanks a 60/40 rear folding seat, and 23.7 cubic feet of cargo space (53.4 with the rear seat folded down).
“That make it just as likely to head to the family beach vacation as it is to go on a solo surf weekend.”
The Kia Optima may not seem like a family car right away. But with trunk space, fuel economy and great features, the small family will ove the Optima. The Street says: “Still, for image-conscious parents, the available turbo package, panoramic sunroof and vented front seats mesh with LED running lights and chrome wheels that look like they’d be more at home at a car show than at a piano recital. It’s a whole lot of compromise, but that’s what it takes to look cool and still have a reasonable amount of space for the kids.”
The Kia Optima and Kia Soul are at Waikem Kia in Massillon, Ohio, today, and we’re ready for you to bring the family and see them for yourself.
