Honda was one of the top non-luxury brands in J.D. Power and Associate’s 2013 Initial Quality Study.
The study is based on customer responses after 90 days of ownership. When you remove the luxury brands, Honda was among the top 5 vehicles in Initial Quality, their score of 103 is much higher than the industry average.
Honda is traditionally a top non-luxury brand and they are always above the industry average. J.D. Power says their Initial Quality Study has always been in great indicator of long-term durability among models.
It’s no surprise that Honda owners would be satisfied with their new vehicles. 2013 was a year of change with Honda — including all the new redesigned 2013 Honda Civic and 2013 Honda Accord. Those two models now feature standard Bluetooth, backup camera, hands-free text messages and Pandora radio.
But of course Honda has many great models, including the Honda Fit, Honda Odyssey, Honda Pilot, Honda Ridgeline, and Honda CR-V.
In terms of individual accolades, the following Honda vehicles won:
Honda Fit: Top 3 Best Subcompact Car
Honda Civic: Best Compact Car
Honda Insight: Top 3 Best Compact Car
Honda CR-V: Best Compact CUV
Honda Odyssey: Top 2 best Minivan
