The 2015 Ford Mustang will be the 50th anniversary of the world famous pony. While it has been kept quiet what the car will look like in 2015, Car and Driver might have the inside scoop. The Mustang image has leaked onto the Dec. 2013 edition of the car and driver magazine. Car and Driver has even more pictures online.
According to Car and Driver’s images, the new Ford Mustang will take some style cues of the Ford Fusion, with the thin headlines and the front grille. “flared mustang nostrils that hint at the power lurking beneath,” observes Car and Driver.
Accord to Car and Driver’s interior spy shots, the interior takes cues from the entire 50-year history of the Ford Mustang. Car and Driver says the next generation Ford MyTouch interface will debut with the new 2015 Ford Mustang.
“The changeable ambient lighting continues, but it will spread beyond the dials, cup holders, and speakers to other points within the cabin, something also found in European luxury cars like the new S-class,” Car and Driver says.
Under the hood, Car and Driver says the Mustang will be offered with a 3.7 liter V6 and a 5.0 liter V8 engine. Shoppers will choose between 6-speed manual and six-speed automatic.
Car and Driver is reporting many performance options as well. The successor to the Shelby-branded GT500 is just one choice. There will also be a Trinity supercharged 5.8-liter V-8 engine, and two other powertrain options.
Also, check out the twin-turbocharged V-8 Voodoo with between 5.0 and 5.5 liters and a 180-degree crankshaft used in Ferrari and Lotus models. The last performance model will be a replacement to the Boss 302.
