AutoTrader’s Best New Cars for the First-Time Buyer

For a first-time car buyer it can be a difficult process picking just the right car. To make things easier Autotrader has compiled a list of the ‘Best New Cars for First-Time Buyers: 2014 Edition’. They have chosen several of our favorites from Hyundai, Nissan, Honda, Ford, and Kia. They’ve taken into account value, efficiency, versatility, and performance performance.

Hyundai Elantra

The Hyundai Elantra is a huge benefactor of Hyundai’s fluid design. It isn’t often you come across an economy car that looks this good. Great standard features, fuel economy, and Hyundai’s warranty means you are getting a lot of car for your money.

Nissan Versa Note

An economical hatchback means you get space and fuel economy without breaking the bank. It’s amazing how much space Nissan has been able to hide inside of this small package. Achieving 40-mpg on the highway with the CVT is nothing to laugh at either.

Honda Fit

The Honda Fit is another hatchback that you will need to take a few looks at in order to believe how much space is inside. The dashboard features a simple design that won’t overwhelm the driver.

Ford Focus

The newest Ford Focus is a major improvement over Focus in the past. With improved interior, ride handling, and 40 mpg highway you are getting a lot for an affordable price.

Kia Sportage

Not all first-time buyers want hatchbacks and sedans. The Kia Sportage offers plenty of interior space with one of the most stylish exteriors in the crossover category. The 260 horsepower from the available 4-cylinder doesn’t hurt either.
