Waikem Raises Money for Cystic Fibrosis

The Waikem Auto Family Associates again raised money for Cystic Fibrosis. Emphasizing the “family” portion of the Waikem Auto Family, we held our annual luncheon today to help Adam Longwell, an associate in our part’s department whose daughter is diagnosed with CF.

Everyone donated money, and we were treated to a big lunch with food sponsored by Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Oven. Other employees provided a covered dish.

We raised money for Kendall’s Krew, who will participate in Great Strides, the biggest CF fundraiser of the year. The annual Canton Great Strides Walk-A_thon take place Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 at McKinley High School.

Learn more about Great Strides and how it’s trying to make awareness for CF, which there is currently no cure for.
