Ford Motor Company Fund is sponsoring an Honor Flight for local World War II veterans to visit the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The Ford Motor Co. is sponsoring a group of Cleveland-Area veterans trip to the National World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. this Memorial Day.
The “Ford Fund” sponsors this honor flight. Fifty Word War II Veterans from Cleveland and other parts of Ohio will travel to Washington D.C. this weekend and will be greeted at the national World War II Memorial by members of Congress and Ford Employees. This trip was organized by Honor Flight Cleveland, the northeast Ohio hub of the Honor Flight Network.
George Waikem Ford and Local Veterans Salute Memorial Day
You’re invited to help George Waikem Ford and a local Vietnam Veteran are working together this Memorial Day to honor fallen troops in Perry Township.
Now through Memorial Day Ken McGill’s 1968 Harley Davidson will be on display at George Waikem Ford, 4321 Lincoln Way East. This isn’t any old Harley though, this is a custom built Harley and a tribute to the 11 Perry High School Graduates who have died in combat since the Vietnam War.

Ford Hires Mark Fields as new President and CEO
The Ford Motor Co. announced today that Mark Fields has been named new chief executive officer and president, replacing retiring CEO Alan Mulally.
Fields, 53, served as Ford’s COO since 2012. He currently works in global business operations, product development, manufacturing. purchasing, and marketing, sales and services. Fields was also credited with leading the transformation of Ford’s North American business. Ford has recorded record profits in each of the last four years.
Ford Bringing Even More Jobs to America
The Ford Motor Co. announced Thursday that it’s likely it will exceed it’s hiring goals of 12,000 new employees. Record profits and huge demands are helping Ford continue to grow and grow.
In 2011, Ford and United Auto Workers Union committed to hire more than 12,000 new workers by 2015. Ford announced Thursday it has already completed 75 percent of this goals, and is likely to exceed this goal soon.
