Waikem Mitsubishi celebrated its 25th anniversary Thursday with a special honor from Mitsubishi North America.
Gayu Uesugi, Chariman of the Board and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors North America, and other representatives from Mitsubishi Motors North America visited our Massillon showroom on Thursday to meet the Waikem Family and congratulate them on selling Mitsubishi cars since 1989. The family received a plaque and a banner that reminds everyone of Mitsubishi’s core principle: Ichimai-iwa — “Monolithic Solidarity” or “One Rock.”
“Everybody in the organization shares the same goal and works together to achieve our goal of success and growth,” the banner says.
The 25th year has been an exciting one at Waikem Mitsubishi. The new Mitsubishi Mirage has been one of the successful car launches in recent years. Reaching up to 44 MPG with a price tag starting at $12,995, the Mirage has become one of the most talked about cars at the dealership.
Of course the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport also remained one of our most top-selling SUVs. Many customers will start their search looking for something else, but then once they see the Outlander Sport they drive it home.
The Outlander Sport is a hallmark of safety thanks to its All Weather Control System that is great in ice and snow. The Outlander Sport was named an IIHS Top Safety Pick this year.
It was an honor to meet Mr. Uesugi on Thursday, and we’re already looking forward to the next 25 years here at Waikem Mitsubishi. We also thank our sales, parts and service associates who work hard every day to make sure Waikem Mitsubishi continues to celebrate these milestones.
