Great models like the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage has pushed the brand up in vehicle dependability.

The Mitsubishi brand stood out in this year’s J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study. As a whole, the brand exceeded the industry’s average for customer satisfaction and leaped ten spots overall in this year’s rankings.

The J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study examines problems experienced during the past 12 months by original owners of 2012 or new vehicles. Scores are determined by the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles. The lower the score the better.

Mitsubishi finished with a 140 point score, seven points higher than the industry average. More impressive, Mitsubishi far exceeded scores of Volkswagen, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and more. Overall, Mitsubishi improved by 26 points from 2014, and jumped ten points in the ranking.

“Mitsubishi’s performance this year demonstrated our capability and commitment to building reliable vehicles that we believe will keep customers coming back to the Mitsubishi brand for years to come,” said Don Swearingen, Executive Vice President of Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc.

J.D. Power notes that customers who report no problems with their vehicle are 56% more likely to buy another vehicle in the same brand.

The brand overall is in middle of renaissance by making vehicles people want to drive. The Mitsubishi Mirage debuted last year, and it really fits a need in the industry. With a starting MSRP as low as $12,995, it’s one of the least expensive vehicles on the road today. Then it also reaches up to 44 MPG, making it one of most fuel-efficient non-hybrid vehicles.

It also comes in a bevy of fun colors and comes with great features such as Bluetooth.

The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is probably the most under rated SUV on the road today. When equipped with All Weather Control, there isn’t a safer SUV in ice and snow. It was named a 2015 IIHS Top Safety Pick .
