Parts Department Associate Adam Longwell again hosted the Kendall’s Krew luncheon in support of his daughter Kendall who has Cystic Fibrosis.
The Waikem Auto Family Associates showed support for a fellow co-worker again this year.
Thursday was our annual luncheon for Great Strides, the biggest CF fundraiser of the year. Adam Longwell is an associate in our parts department whose daughter Kendall has Cystic Fibrosis. So every year we come together to raise money for Kendall’s Krew.
Everyone makes a side dish, and then we pay an donation for Kendall’s Krew for a great lunch. We also thanks Pizza Oven and TGD for donating food and gift cards for a great raffle.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. It’s a life threatening disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. There are currently more than 30,000 Americas with CF. Many who have CF must take dozens of pills each day and undergo hours of breathing treatments.
We work towards a cure with programs like Great Strides. This year the annual Stark County Great Strides event takes place Saturday May 2 at McKinley High School and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Registration takes place at 9 a.m. with the walk starting at 10 a.m.

We thank all of our associates for again coming together to support one of their own. It’s days like this where we see why they call it the Waikem Auto Family, and why we’ve been voted Stark County’s Best Employer for two consecutive years.
Thanks again everyone.
