The 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport topped Consumers Reports’ study as the most reliable SUV.
The 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport was voted the most reliable SUV this year by Consumer Reports. The consumer advocate magazine surveys users to find out what problems new drivers are having with their vehicle.
The Outlander Sport finished No. 1 for SUVs, defeating even models from Toyota and Lexus. Consumer Reports surveys new owners of more than 1.1 million vehicles for its annual study. They use a 17-point survey to find out any serious problem with their vehicle. The results are analyzed and released in the Consumer Report’s November edition.
The Ford Motor Co. this week gave us a little more detail into the all-new 2015 Ford F-150s. A new standard V6 engine and all-new 2.7-liter EcoBoost will be among four choices under the hood when the all-new F-150 hits the dealership.
The all-new standard 3.5 liter V-6 engine will produce 283 horsepower from twin independent variable camshaft timing. A towing capacity of 7,600, 1,910 pounds of payload and 255-lb ft. torque are some of the other details from Ford’s release.
Ford’s 1.0-liter Ecoboost 3-cylinder engine was voted the International Engine of the Year Award.
Ford’s 1.0 liter EcoBoost Engine has again been named the International Engine of the Year from a panel of world-renowned Automotive Expert. This is the third consecutive year this diminutive engine has taken home the award.
With fuel economy approaching 40 MPG that doesn’t sacrifice on power, the engine is something to be seen. It has been available in Europe for years, and it’s now making its way in to the states. It’s already available in the Ford Fiesta, and it will also be available in the 2015 Ford Focus.

The Ford Motor Co. announced today that Mark Fields has been named new chief executive officer and president, replacing retiring CEO Alan Mulally.
Fields, 53, served as Ford’s COO since 2012. He currently works in global business operations, product development, manufacturing. purchasing, and marketing, sales and services. Fields was also credited with leading the transformation of Ford’s North American business. Ford has recorded record profits in each of the last four years.
The Ford Motor Co. announced Thursday that it’s likely it will exceed it’s hiring goals of 12,000 new employees. Record profits and huge demands are helping Ford continue to grow and grow.
In 2011, Ford and United Auto Workers Union committed to hire more than 12,000 new workers by 2015. Ford announced Thursday it has already completed 75 percent of this goals, and is likely to exceed this goal soon.
“The biggest thing is, when the van is full, then we’ve got to come home. I’m interested in real estate on wheels,” Wolfe says during the episode airing April 30. “There were four or five different vehicles I was looking at, and I just keep coming back to the Ford as the better choice.”
