The website has chosen this vehicle for its big redesign, new technology and use of high-strength aluminum. It will be competing against five other vehicles and the winner will be announced at the North American International Auto Show in January, 2015.
Cars.com says, “the big news about this redesign is that it is the first mass-produced pickup to use high strength aluminum for all the body panels and bed construction.”
With the new material there is a significant change in overall weight of the vehicle but it also drives and sounds different. A reduction in weight has allowed Ford to create an EcoBoost engine that has better fuel economy while still keeping towing and payload standards.

Synthetic oil has several applications. Those include high heat and high load conditions. Several categories of oil configurations exist.

The 2014 Ford F-150 will be the first pickup truck with the CNG option.
Ford will be the first manufacturer to offer a Compressed Natural Gas option for a half-ton pickup truck.
As announced this week, the 2014 Ford F-150 will have an option for a compressed natural gas powered model. Natural gas has become an increasingly popular choice as an alternative to traditional gas. There is an abundance of Natural Gas in this area, and it’s also a lot cheaper than traditional petroleum. According to a
release from Ford, CNG sells for an average of $2.11 per gallon of gasoline equivalent, and is as low as $1 in some parts of the country. The natural average for unleaded regular fuel on July 31, 2013 is $3.66 per gallon.
