We can all see it. The steady rise of each new model year’s mpg rising. With more stringent federal fuel economy standards to rising fuel prices, the auto manufacturer’s have responded positively.
A study from the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute has determined the rise of fuel economy each year since they started keeping track in October 2007. The average for August 2013 was 24.9 mpg, almost five times the amount in October 2007.
