Ford Trucks Earn KBB Brand Image Award

The Ford F-150 has again been named Kelley Blue Book's Most Trusted Truck.

The Ford F-150 has again been named Kelley Blue Book’s Most Trusted Truck.

The Ford Motor Co. won best overall truck brand from Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com brand image awards. KBB uses search data and brand characteristics that are embraced by the market.

Ford trucks has won five of the six KBB Brand Image Awards. Ford credits the F-150, Super Duty F-250 and F-350 for helping them win the award again.

With the redesigned 2015 Ford F-150 hitting the lot later this year, we think Ford will be right back on top of this list again next year.

Consumer Reports says the Ford F Series are among the Most American Vehicles on a market.

But the first question is: What Makes A Car the “Most American?” Well Consumer Reports used a program called the “Kogod Made in America Auto Index.” It was created by Frank DuBois, a global supply chain management expert and professor at American University. The list is based on data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, plus the location of the headquarters, design, research and development and where the profits are going.

The Ford Motor Company stole the show Thursday with the debut of the Ford F-150 Atlas Concept.

This F-150 concept is the future of the pickup and left onlookers speechless during its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

“The Ford Atlas Concept previews the innovations that will transform what people expect from their pickup,” said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development. “With 36 years as America’s best-selling pickup, we are absolutely committed to setting the agenda in the truck market.”

Honda, Ford, Subaru win best value awards

Honda, Ford and Subaru’s 2012 models will keep in five years the biggest percentage of what you paid to drive it away new.

That’s according to Edmonds.com, who Wednesday released the recipients of their “Best Retained Value Awards.”

Honda was the big winner for, the day, with an overall projected retained value of 47.9% after five years.

Ford and Subaru were the other big winners, taking home awards in multiple categories.

Honda won in the following categories:

Honda Civic – Sedan under 20K. Expected 50% retained value

Honda CR-V – SUV 25K-35K. Expected 54.6% retained value.

Honda Odyssey – Vans. Expected 43.5% retained value.

Ford won in the following categories:

Ford Shelby GT500 – Convertible 35K-45K. Expected retained value 46.5%

Ford Mustang – Coupe $25K-35K. Expected retained value for 46.8%

Ford Shelby GT500. Coupe over 45K. Expected retained value 47.5%

Ford F-350 SuperDuty. Large HD Truck. Expected retained value 48.6%

Ford F-150. Large light truck. Expected retained value 48.4%

Subaru won in the following categories:

Subaru Impreza. Sedan 20K-30K. Expected retained value 45.3%

Subaru Forester. SUV under 25K. Expected retained value 44.6%
