The 2015 Ford Escape is the tenth least expensive vehicle to insure. That’s according to insure.com, who released its annual list this month. Crunching all the numbers, the experts find that the Escape will save you money every month.

Specifically, insure.com named the Ford Escape S 2WD model as number ten overall, eith a  $1,190 average premium. Insure.com calculates the average insurance rates of the six largest carriers — Allstate, Farmer, Geico, Nationwide, Progressive and State Farm.

The Ford Edge is one of the least expensive cars to insure. That’s according to Insure.com, who released its annual list this month. Taking the average rates of the six largest carriers — Allstate, Farmers, Geico, Nationwide, Progressive and State Farm, the Edge was the eighth cheapest car to insure among all vehicles.

Specifically, Insure.com used the Ford Edge SE 2WD model, which cost on average $1,176 to insure. To go even more specific, the Canton-Akron-Cleveland Area was the second least expensive area in the country to insure a vehicle, 31 percent less than the national average.

The 2015 Ford Taurus was voted one of the top five “unexpected family cars” by a parent test driver with three children writing for cars.com.

Their writer has a preschooler and twin infants. Cars.com asked her to test drive cars that wouldn’t be considered “family cars,” so no crossovers, vans or SUV, and then pick her five favorites. The Taurus made the list because plenty of car seats can fit comfortably and there is plenty of room for those cargo needs that come with having kids.

2015 Ford F-150 is a North American Car of the Year Finalist

The 2015 Ford F-150 is one of the three finalists that will compete for the North American Truck/Utility of the year. With a complete interior and exterior redesign, the 2015 Ford F-150 was the most anticipated vehicle that was released this year. It will be hard to compete against it for the title in January 2015.

The North American Truck/Utility award is selection of the best redesign model for the new year. The winners will be announced on Monday, January 12th at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The 2015 Ford F-150 is nominated for cars.com Best Pickup Truck award.

The website has chosen this vehicle for its big redesign, new technology and use of high-strength aluminum. It will be competing against five other vehicles and the winner will be announced at the North American International Auto Show in January, 2015.

Cars.com says, “the big news about this redesign is that it is the first mass-produced pickup to use high strength aluminum for all the body panels and bed construction.”

With the new material there is a significant change in overall weight of the vehicle but it also drives and sounds different. A reduction in weight has allowed Ford to create an EcoBoost engine that has better fuel economy while still keeping towing and payload standards.
