The Ford Motor Co. announced Thursday that it’s likely it will exceed it’s hiring goals of 12,000 new employees. Record profits and huge demands are helping Ford continue to grow and grow.

In 2011, Ford and United Auto Workers Union committed to hire more than 12,000 new workers by 2015. Ford announced Thursday it has already completed 75 percent of this goals, and is likely to exceed this goal soon.

Ford invests $500 million and adds 300 more jobs to Ohio with the production of a new engine at the Lime Engine Plant.

Ford is once again making a major investment and bringing new jobs into Ohio.

As announced on Friday, the Ford Motor Co. is investing $500 million to upgrade the Lima Engine Plant. Ford will also create 300 new jobs thanks to this major investment.

The engine plant in northwest Ohio will produce the all-new fuel efficient 2.7-Liter EcoBoost engine found in the 2015 Ford F-150. The all-new F-150 will be the first model to use this all-new engine.

The Ford Motor Company says 2014 will be its busiest year ever.

The company will hire 5,000 workers in the United States next year on the heels of a record setting 2013.

“We saw unprecedented growth in the United States this year, especially in the midsize and utility segments,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of The Americas. “With the addition of 16 new products to our showroom, including Ford Mustang, our momentum continues.”

Ford adding 1,400 American Jobs

Ford is investing $555 Million and 1,400 new jobs at their Flat Rock, Mich., Assembly Line. In total Ford is creating nearly 6,500 U.S. jobs this year, and is aiming for a goal of 12,000 new hourly jobs by 2015.

For the first time the Ford Fusion will be made in the United States. A testament to Ford’s efforts to bring jobs back to America. Because of this expansion, the Ford Fusion’s availability will increase by 30 percent. The 2013 Fusion is setting records for sales.

“With its bold design and great fuel economy, Fusion has exceeded all of our expectations, with demand outstripping supply,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of The Americas. “Fusion in Flat Rock is a win for all of our stakeholders – including customers, employees and dealers. Nissan Creating 900 American Jobs

The Nissan Rogue will now be built in America.

Nissan is adding 900 manufacturing jobs to the Smyrna, Tenn. Vehicle Assembly Plant, and the Nissan Rogue will now be built in America.

The announcement came at Nissan’s 30-year anniversary celebration in the United States.

The new Nissan Rogue will be produced in the United States for the first time.

“Our investment creates hundreds of new jobs and underscores Nissan’s longtime commitment to our employees and expanding operations around the country,” said Senior Vice President of Manufacturing Bill Krueger. “Our dedicated workforce in the United States continues to build high-quality vehicles, such as the Altima, Pathfinder and LEAF, which are driving growth with sales up a combined 70 percent in May.”

Ford Announces New Jobs in Cleveland

Ford announced it will create 450 new jobs in Cleveland building the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine. The engine is already found in the 2013 Ford Escape.

The Ford Motor Co. announced Thursday it is expanding production and adding new jobs to the EcoBoost Engine Production Plant in Cleveland.

Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of The Americas, spoke at the Cleveland, Ohio plant Thursday. Ford will invest nearly $200 million and add 450 jobs at the Cleveland Engine Plant. The workers will build the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, which is in 95 percent of the Ford lineup.

“This is our One Ford plan at its best – giving customers the power of choice to decide which fuel-efficient engine is best tailored to their needs,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of The Americas. “Cleveland Engine Plant was the first to produce EcoBoost engines and will continue to be a cornerstone of Ford’s strategy to deliver affordable fuel economy for millions.”

The 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid will be made in Ohio

Honda will further spread its Ohio roots, as the Automaker announced Thursday it will invest $23 million in the Buckeye State to support production of the 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid sedan.

We’ve often detailed the deep roots between Honda and Ohio, and this is just another positive story of job creation. The 2014 Accord Hybrid will be built at the Marysville Auto Plant, and brings along the creation of 50 new jobs to the Buckeye State.

The Marysville Auto Plant is currently undergoing an expansion of 95,000-square-feet to house assembly processes and logistics specifically for production of the Accord Hybrid. Continue reading
