The 2015 Ford Edge, seen here at the Cleveland Auto Show, is among the least expensive vehicles to insure.
The Ford Edge is one of the least expensive cars to insure. That’s according to Insure.com, who released its annual list this month. Taking the average rates of the six largest carriers — Allstate, Farmers, Geico, Nationwide, Progressive and State Farm, the Edge was the eighth cheapest car to insure among all vehicles.
Specifically, Insure.com used the Ford Edge SE 2WD model, which cost on average $1,176 to insure. To go even more specific, the Canton-Akron-Cleveland Area was the second least expensive area in the country to insure a vehicle, 31 percent less than the national average.
