Review: 2014 Honda Odyssey
The updated 2014 Honda Odyssey has hit the Waikem Honda showroom. With its genius features, updated styling and improved fuel economy, the Odyssey is still the ultimate family vehicle.
When you talk about what’s new, you have to start with HondaVac, the vacuum cleaner built right into the van. It seems so obvious now, but it did take until 2014 for someone to think of it. The vacuum is installed in cargo area, and features a long hose and two attachments. We know your kids are messy and sometimes there’s a spill in the second or third row. Now with the HondaVac you’ll be able to sweep out the van on the go. We love the HondaVac and think it’s a true game changer. It comes standard on the Elite Touring model.

2013 Honda Civic Named a Top Safety Pick Plus
The redesigned 2013 Honda Civic was named an IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus, the highest safety rating a vehicle can receive. The Civic is now the first and only small car to receive the IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus designation.
“If you want a compact car with a TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating, the 2013 Honda Civic is the only choice,” said Art St. Cyr, vice president of product planning and logistics at American Honda. “We believe this is a distinct competitive advantage, especially as more and more consumers place a premium on crash rating performance.”
Top Safety Pick Plus is the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s newest top ranking, which separates out the best of best for safety. IIHS scores the 2013 Honda Civic Good in the moderate overlap front test results, Good for the small overlap front test, good for side impact test results, and good for roof strength test. To achieve Top Safety Pick Plus status, a vehicle must receive a score of good in at lease 4 of 5 tests and no less than acceptable in the fifth test. Less than 20 vehicles across the United State have been designated as a Top Safety Pick Plus.

Honda teaming with Apple to bring Siri to Accord
Apple and Honda announced Wednesday that the 2013 Honda Accord will receive support for Apple’s hands-free extension of Siri.
This new feature, known as Eyes Free, will be a dealer-installed option for the 2013 Accord. The new application will allow hands-free use of iPhone and iPad technology, including Bluetooth, messaging and directions, reviews and other technology offered already by Siri and Apple.
Later this year, owners with a compatible iPhone running iOS 6 can direct Siri to perform a number of specific tasks while they safely keep their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel. Using Eyes Free mode, Siri takes hands-free functionality even further and minimizes distractions even more by keeping your iOS device’s screen from lighting up.
