The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander has the lowest cost of ownership in its class according to KBB.

The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander won Kelley Blue Book’s 5-year cost to own award among all mid-sized crossovers. What that means is this all-new SUV won’t break the bank while it’s in your garage.

The Outlander beat out competition include the Toyota FJ Cruiser and Jeep Wrangler. Brand new in 2014, the Outlander’s 5-year cost to own is projected at $38,359. 2013 Toyota RAV4 Fails Safety Test: Now What?

The redesigned 2013 Toyota RAV4 has received a rating of “poor’ in the IIHS small overlap test.

According to Automotive News, this test simulates what happens when a driver crashes the left front quarter of a vehicle into an object such as a tree, telephone pole or another car. Small overlap test examines how well a vehicle handles 40-mph frontal collisions.

According to IIHS and Automotive News, the RAV4’s driver’s space was “seriously compromised by intruding structure, and the dummy’s left foot was trapped by crushed and buckled sheet metal in the footwell.”

The institute also said the seat belt allowed “excessive forward movement of the dummy’s head and torso, contributing to the head hitting the instrument panel.”

Review: 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is all about safety

The 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is one of the safest vehicles on the road today, and with it’s great warranty and array of optional features, we think the Outlander Sport is an overlooked crossover SUV.

The Outlander Sport has a huge emphasis on safety. It has been named an IIHS Top Safety Pick and carries a 4-star crash test rating. There are a number of great safety features built in to the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport that help it achieve this status.

First off, let’s talk about All Wheel Control. The All Wheel Control system engages an onboard computer that monitors your Outlander Sport’s throttle, vehicle speed and the road conditions. The Outlander Sport can then intelligently help you determine which drive train you should be using — two wheel drive or four wheel drive. You can easily override this with a switch that easy helps you change from two or four wheel drive yourself.

hyundai santa fe

The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe named one of the top ten interiors.

WardsAuto has named the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport as one of the 10 Best Interiors.

The Santa Fe Sport was redesigned in 2013, and one of the major upgrades to this model came on the inside. The new Santa Fe sport features a flowing, interior look that become the model for the ever-popular Hyundai product. The available leather seats are some of the most comfortable seats you’ll find. The burnt orange  interior seats, seen in our first test drive, were gorgeous.

“The latest version of the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is the essence of a midsize family CUV: well-crafted, tastefully appointed and affordable, despite a decidedly upscale look and feel,” said Tom Murphy, executive editor, WardsAuto. “Hyundai is consistently delivering excellent interiors that reinforce the brand’s ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ design language.”

Review: 2013 Honda Pilot

2013-Honda-Pilot

The 2013 Honda Pilot adds a backup camera standard on all models, along with room for 8.

The 2013 Honda Pilot is one of the best choices for a larger families. It’s one of the few vehicles that offers comfortable seating for up to 8 people, and with a backup camera now standard across the lineup, the Pilot is one of the most practical choices for those seeking a large SUV.

We’ve always found the Pilot to be one of the most underrated vehicles in Honda’s lineup. There isn’t a wasted millimeter of space in the Pilot. There’s room for 8 people to sit inside, and even taller passengers will fit comfortably in the back of a Pilot. Sometimes we look at 3-row models and think “who would fit in that third row,” but we don’t think that’s the case in the 2013 Honda Pilot.

While the Pilot is relatively the same as previous models, a backup camera is now standard on all 2013 Honda Pilot models. This is a big step forward, because we know it can be hard to fit a larger SUV into a tight space. Those problems are now a thing of the past.

Exclusive Photos of the 2014 Kia Sorento

The 2014 Kia Sorento was completely redesigned for 2014, with a front-end cosmetic change, and a lot of changes under the hood. We received our first 2014 Kia Sorento last week, and took it for a test drive. See our thoughts and watch an exclusive video at Waikem Kia’s website. Take a look above for the exclusive photos of the redesgined SUV.

The 2014 Kia Sorento features a refreshed design and a lot of changes under the hood. We think the visual changes to Sorento are for the better, starting out front with the refreshed tiger grille, now with chrome accents around a black mesh grille. New headlights with available LED accents also make the 2014 Kia Sorento a little sportier than previous models. According to Kia, the 2014 Sorento weighs 3,594 pounds, while the 2013 models weighed 3,845.

Watch our video here and let us know what you think about the 2014 Kia Sorento.
